He finally went to Italy: Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan

St. Anthony with St. Cornelius and St. Cyprian by Veronese, 1565 - 1571. Not a bad way to start the visit, right?
Saint Rocco Visits the Plague Stricken by Bassano, circa 1575. Don't bother zooming, this early in the trip my photos of paintings often sucked. They get better.
Penitent Saint Jerome by Titian, circa 1556 - 1561. A trifecta of awesomeness!
Last Supper by Veronese, circa 1580. Can anyone explain why that column is there?
Detail of Agony in the Garden by Veronese, 1582 - 1583. I love how he and Tintoretto render drapery with a few simple brushstrokes.
Madonna and Child with St. John the Evangelist and St. Michael by Giovanni Figino, 1588.
St. Francis with the Stigmata by Vincenzo Campi, 1580 - 1590.
Fishmongers by Vincenzo Campi, 1578 - 1581. That is one ugly baby.
Supper at Emmaus by Caravaggio, 1606.
Lamentation Over the Dead Christ by Francesco Salviati and Giuseppe Porta, 1539 - 1541.
The Martyrs Cecilia, Valerian and Tiburtus by Orazio Gentileschi, 1606 - 1607.
A painting by Guido Reni. I missed the title and date on this one.
View of the Basin of San Marco from the Punta Della Dogana by Canaletto, 1740s. His depictions of Venice are so detailed and spot on.
Allegory of Fortune by Lorenzo Leombruno, circa 1523. This one's such an oddball!
Mystic Marriage of St. Catherine by Giulio Procaccini, 1616 - 1620.
Martyrdom of Saints Rufina and Secunda by Cerano, Giulio Procaccini, and Morazzone, 1620 - 1624. Commissioned as a test of the 3 artists, each completing the parts that best matched their own expertises.
Ecce Homo by Luca Giordano, 1659 - 1660.
Portrait of a Knight of Malta by Bernardo Strozzi, circa 1629 (?)
Mother Mourning the Death of Her Child by Giuseppe Molteni, 1845. I'm not convinced by her expression but otherwise it's great.
Self-Portrait at the Age of Fifty-Seven by Francesco Hayez, 1848. Like most of his other work it's perfect... TOO perfect. Compare to one of Rembrandt's when he was around the same age.
A Great Sacrifice by Gerolamo Induno, 1860. A new (to me) artist... nicely done!
Doleful Premonition by Gerolamo Induno, 1862. Her attitude and expression are captured perfectly.
The Presentation in the Temple by Gioacchino Assereto, circa 1630.
Detail. Never heard of this guy before but I liked it enough to grab a detail shot.
Errand Boy Seated with a Basket on His Back, Eggs, and Poultry by Giacomo Ceruti, circa 1735. How about the title? Completely lacking in modern conceptual nonsense!
